Tim is Senior Financial Advisor at Blue Chip Partners. He is an attorney (JD) and is a holder of the right to use both the Chartered Life Underwriter® and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations.
Prior to joining Blue Chip Partners in 2021, Tim began his career practicing law at Dickinson Wright, one of Detroit’s largest law firms. For over nine years, Tim’s legal practice focused on helping clients navigate the complexities of tax, estate planning, and corporate law. In 1991, Tim made the transition to being a financial advisor and has spent the last 30 years helping clients achieve their financial goals. Tim’s designations and experience make him uniquely qualified to help clients address the complex financial issues they face. Tim works with many attorneys and corporate executives.
While attending the University of North Carolina on a wrestling scholarship, Tim received his Business Administration degree. He then earned his law degree (JD) cum laude from the University of Detroit School of Law, and a Masters of Law in taxation degree (LLM) from New York University.
Tim enjoys boating, exercising, and spending time with his wife, Bonnie, and three children.
What was your first job?
Delivering newspapers for the Redford Shopping News when I was in sixth or seventh grade. Getting up at 5AM and delivering papers on my bike in all types of weather was quite a character builder.
What is your favorite season?
Fall. I love the cool, crisp days, the smell of Autumn, the leaves, pumpkins, cider mills… all of it!
What is one of your favorite childhood memories?
Going to Camp Sancta Maria, a summer camp for boys in Gaylord, MI, for two weeks every summer was fabulous. Making new friends, participating in endless activities of all kinds, sleeping in a cabin - I couldn’t get enough of it!!
