Katherine is the Chief Compliance Officer at Blue Chip Partners.
Prior to joining Blue Chip Partners in 2024, Katherine (“Kate”) Ford was an Operations Manager for a Grand Rapids based RIA firm with a focus on supporting the firm’s compliance operations. She started at the firm as a Client Service Advisor before being promoted to Operations Manager. Before beginning her career in financial services, Kate worked in the healthcare industry as a Radiology Tech Assistant and an OB Scrub Tech.
Kate put herself through undergrad working two jobs while obtaining her degree from the University of Phoenix. Kate holds a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She earned her Chartered Financial Consultant® Designation (ChFC®) from the American College of Finance.
A proud Michigan resident, Kate lives with her husband, Mike, and their two children. Outside of work, she treasures family time, traveling to new destinations, and indulging in her love for organizing. Kate also enjoys reading and soaking up the little joys of life.
What was your first job:
At 14, I worked at a local recreational center concession stand. A benefit of the job was that I was able to watch my grandpa and dad play baseball and earn money at same time.
Which season is your favorite:
Summer. It’s the perfect time to be outside, enjoying the sunshine and making memories with family.
How do you relax:
Organizing. Whether it’s resetting the pantry or tidying up a room, I find calm and satisfaction in bringing order to my space.
