Eric is the Chief Compliance Officer at Blue Chip Partners.
As the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Blue Chip Partners, Eric is responsible for administering the company’s compliance program and overseeing all day-to-day compliance functions.
Eric joined Blue Chip in 2025, bringing more than six years of experience in senior corporate compliance roles, including three years as CCO for a registered investment advisory firm based in Birmingham, MI. Prior to becoming a CCO, Eric spent eight years as a Securities Compliance Examiner with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, working in the Division of Examinations. Earlier in his career, Eric held positions at the National Futures Association, first as a Staff Auditor and later as Supervisor of Investigations.
Eric graduated with a BA in Finance from Michigan State University, and a JD from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Outside of the office, Eric enjoys fishing and hiking in Michigan’s beautiful outdoors, following Detroit sports (Go Lions!), and spending quality time with his family.
My first job was working as a dishwasher and busboy at my family’s restaurant. It taught me the value of hard work, and how every role – no matter how behind-the-scenes – is essential to success.
I took a year-long seminar course in law school that involved a deep dive into the history, theory, and importance of the First Amendment freedoms that continue to shape the legal and cultural debates in our country.
I learned to treat others the same way I want to be treated. This simple, yet fundamental, rule continues to guide how I interact with others and navigate life’s challenges with respect and empathy.
